We are fundraising to help offset program costs

By donating today, you can help support growingSTEMS and allow us to continue operating our community robotics programs and other STEM activities.

Below are some areas where we are looking for general assistance:

  • The Hive is our community STEM Center where all of our K-12 STEM programs operate. Without a physical center for our community teams to occupy and call home, it would be difficult to continue providing our community based robotics programs. Each year our facility expenses end up being almost half of our total operating expenses. If you are able, please donate to help offset some of these facility expenses as we work towards making these programs more accessible to everyone!
  • FIRST Lego League Programs (FLL Jr. and FLL) offer hands-on LEGO fun for K-6th grade students. Each year we pay for USFIRST registration fees, new LEGO kits, and other supplies for each team to complete their challenge.
  • The FIRST Tech Challenge allows students from 7-9th grade to enjoy an excellent team building experience where each participant is actively engaged in every aspect from mechanical design to software programming.
  • Our FIRST Robotics Competition team is our flagship program offering young adults from 9th -12th grade a specialized focus into specific areas of competition robotics. Students work closely with community mentors to learn new skills that they will be able to use as they move into the post high-school world. These skills (including engineering, computer aided design, JAVA programing, photography/videography, etc) will help them excel in whatever path they choose to pursue.

While we do charge students registration fees to join, those fees do not come close to covering the yearly costs associated with running each of our programs. When you break it down by per-student cost, these minimal student fees cover less than 50% of the program on average.

Per Student Costs

We ask you to consider donating to help offset these costs so we can continue to make our programs affordable and accessible to all who want to participate.

Help support our next generation of problem solvers because they are the future!
